Why are these products being discontinued?
The technology used in the Cel-Fi GO G31, GO G32, and SOLO was developed almost ten years ago and has been a cornerstone of our portfolio. Unfortunately, the technical process used in these products is no longer available. Nextivity has invested heavily in newer technology products that better support the current and future network needs. Many new technology products are available and recommended as replacements in the notice.
What does “Launch TBA” mean when it is a recommended alternative?
We are currently in the development of newer products with the inclusion of innovative features for TDD and mobile applications. While not currently available, we will announce and make these exciting new products available as replacements for certain products on last-time-buy in the coming months.
Cel-Fi GO G41 is recommended alternate for Cel-Fi SOLO; how do they compare/differ?
The GO G41 is part of our new technology products and provides improved value over legacy products:
- Wider Coverage Footprint – Due to the enterprise-grade echo cancellation built into the GO G41, more area can be covered than SOLO, with equivalent downlink power.
- GSM Support – The GO G41 supports GSM in addition to WCDMA/LTE/NR supported on SOLO to protect investment in legacy networks better.
- Form Factor – The GO G41 has a smaller, more versatile form factor that provides ease of installation, and can be wall mounted or self-supported on a horizontal surface based on the site’s requirements.
- Tri-Band vs. Dual-Band – Nextivity’s technology of selecting the ideal available bands to relay at a site has proven to provide an excellent customer experience for wireless connectivity.
Can I connect the Cel-Fi GO G41 with WAVE Portal using a SIM card like Cel-Fi SOLO?
Nextivity will soon make an ethernet input-based modem for external SIM-based LTE connectivity to the Wave Portal for Cel-Fi products when LAN connectivity is unavailable at the site. We expect to have this modem available for cloud connectivity of Cel-Fi products in the coming months.
When is the Cel-Fi GO G32 replacement launch to be announced?
Cel-Fi GO G41 series products have been made available in many regions as an improved replacement for GO G32. Cel-Fi GO G41 provides enhanced performance for 2G, 3G UMTS, 4G LTE, and 5G-NR/DSS support for TDD-LTE and LAN port monitoring. We will announce a replacement in North America in the coming months.
When is the Cel-Fi GO G31 mobile replacement to be announced?
We will announce a mobile-specific product in 2023 with a smaller form factor explicitly built for mission-critical mobile applications.
Can we make the Cel-Fi GO G41 switchable for mobile applications with software updates?
As we said above, we will announce a mobile-specific product that will be best in class and designed for mission-critical mobile applications.
