A new software update will be available to download for CEL-FI GO G51 on July 16th, 2026, with the following:
New Feature
- Smarter relay channel selection: GO G51 now features an enhanced relay channel selection algorithm that evaluates detected 4G LTE and 5G NR donor cells and automatically selects the most suitable channels based on network-defined priorities and signal quality.
Improvements
- Improved 5G TDD: Updates to gain management and signal-processing behavior to improve 5G TDD stability while maintaining compliant, network-safe operation.
- Improved WAVE Field Tool experience: Improved USB connectivity and connection management for the WAVE Field Tool, providing more reliable diagnostics and device access.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where GO G51 stopped cell searching for the TDD NR channel to relay when WCDMA is relayed.
- Resolved issues that could prevent relay operation or background scanning from recovering after operator or band changes.
- Fixed a stability issue that could occur when NR networks use System Information(SI) window lengths of 320 slots or longer.
- Resolved several issues that could affect detection, decoding, and relaying on certain 5G networks.
- Improved system recovery from rare conditions that could affect relay performance.
- Addressed several site deployment-specific issues affecting relay stability and reporting on certain installations.
- Various changes for better performance, stability, and security.
How the update will be delivered:
- WAVE Portal: Users will receive a software update availability prompt when the system is online on the WAVE Portal after the release date.
- If automatic software updates are enabled and the system is online, GO G51 will update automatically by July 30th, 2026.
- WAVE Field Tool: Users will be able to perform the software update when connecting to GO G51 locally over USB after the release date.
- WAVE App: Users will see an update availability notice when connecting to the GO G51, but the device software update itself cannot be performed through the WAVE App.
