Release date: June 26, 2024
WAVE Portal version 1.7.4 includes the following:
Improvement for 5G NR Support:
- For all CEL-FI QUATRA 4000 and EVO variants:
-
- Added display of 5G NR metrics on the Radio Data page, providing more detailed and comprehensive insights into NR boosting.
- Taking advantage of these improvements requires an embedded software update, which will be formally announced and released in the coming weeks.
- For CEL-FI GO G41, G43, and CONNECT C41:
-
- Support to display NR metrics has been added when both bands for a single operator are NR technology.
- Further information regarding enabling dual-NR for these products will be provided when the embedded software availability is announced.
New Alarm Type:
-
-
- A new alarm has been added to the WAVE Portal, “Software Update Required”
- The system raises this alarm when it identifies a situation where one or more of its components requires a software update to enable all the system’s features.
- This new alarm type is added to the embedded software in the upcoming releases. When this alarm occurs, the system continues to operate to the extent possible, but informs the user of a circumstance that is limiting its full functionality. The LED will flash on the Network Unit, and this new alarm type is reported to the WAVE Portal.
- This alarm is relevant for the upcoming 5G-NR updates, as all system components (NU and every CU) must be on the latest software version for the system to relay 5G-NR. For example, if the NU updates but one or more of the CUs did not complete their update, then this alarm will be raised if the system determines that a 5G-NR signal is available for relay, but the system is prevented from doing so since a software update is still required for one or more of the CUs.
- This alarm may also be used in other similar situations in the future.
- For your convenience, following the release of version 1.7.4, this new alarm will automatically be added to all existing Policies. You may also wish to modify the Policy to add an email or SMS notification.
Rename Site Survey:
-
-
- Site Surveys can now be renamed within the WAVE Portal.
- Select Options > Rename Survey to update the survey name from the heatmap page.
Issues Resolved:
-
-
- Metrics unrelated to the technologies on either Radio of a multi-donor QUATRA Port will no longer be displayed. For example, if Radio A relays 5G and Radio B relays 4G, then RSCP (a 3G-specific metric) will no longer appear in the metric list on the Radio Data page.
- When the Override Coordinates option is enabled for a Site on the WAVE Portal, the Site coordinates will no longer be updated when the WAVE App reports the GPS coordinates of a connected GO system belonging to that Site.
- Fixed an issue that caused an erroneous antenna-related alarm specific to the QUATRA 1000 to intermittently appear after commissioning a QUATRA EVO or 4000-series system.
