Introduction
To update the software on Nextivity’s High Power User Equipment (HPUE) device, you will be using the Nextivity cloud, MegaPortal, which is found at https://mega.nextivityinc.com.
Before updating your HPUE device, you will need to register your device in your MegaPortal cloud account. If you do not have an account, please see the instructions below on how to create an account. If you already have an account but have not registered your device, please see instructions on how to add your device to your account below.
Provided you have a MegaPortal account and have added your device to your account, please see below, for updating the software on your Nextivity HPUE device.

HPUE Software Update
1. From the Devices menu, select the device you wish to update its software version by clicking anywhere in the area as shown below.
2. In Device Details, select the pencil icon to update this device’s software version.
In this example, the device is currently on software version 2.4.44 and will be updated to version 2.5.0.
Note: The required software version number is 2.5.0, and the name of the software file will be prepended by MegaFi or EI for an AW12+EI, depending upon the device registered in the cloud. For example, if you are updating a MegaFi device, the software version name will be MegaFi-2.5.0. If you are updating an AW12+EI device, the software version name will be EI-2.5.0. MegaPortal will only offer the appropriate software for your HPUE device in the drop-down menu selection.
3. Via the Software Version drop-down menu, select the desired software version. In this example, we will choose software version 2.5.0 for a MegaFi device.
4. Once you have selected the appropriate software version, click on Save. A pop-up at the top right corner will appear.
Note: The update process takes between 5-15 minutes to complete, sometimes more depending on your device’s internet connection.
Important: Do not power off your device while the device is updating its software. Doing so may damage the device.
Note: AW12+EI devices on an older software prior to version 2.3.58 will take 24 hours to check into the cloud after a bootup. Therefore, initiating an update to these devices will take that much longer to complete the update process.
5. On the Device Details page, scroll down to check Pending Actions, and until there is a Yes under the Completed column for the software version 2.5.0 Pending Action as shown below, the software update has been completed.
6. You can also confirm the software version in Device Details.
7. You can now update additional devices by repeating the steps above. When complete, log out of your account by closing your browser or selecting your user profile in the screen's upper right-hand corner and selecting Logout.
