Do This: Step 1: Move the Window Unit to a location where you have better cell phone coverage Step 2: Confirm the signal strength using your mobile phone |
E2: Error 2 |
When the Coverage Unit shows Error Message Two (alternating E and 2) it means that the Window Unit is experiencing interference but may still be able to function.
Do This: Step 1: Check to see if you can make a call. Cel-Fi remains functional under certain interference conditions. Step 2: If you cannot make a call or use a data service, move the Window Unit to a different location where you have are able to make a 3G call. |
E3: Error 3 |
When the Coverage Unit shows Error Message Three (alternating E and 3) it means the Coverage Unit temporarily stopped working and has switched to a low power mode because the environment is too warm
Do This: Step 1: Check to see if the vents are blocked or covered on the Coverage Unit Step 2: Move the Coverage Unit to a cooler location Step 3: Please wait and the Coverage Unit will start operating again when the Coverage Unit cools down |
E4: Error 4 |
When the Coverage Unit shows Error Message Four (alternating E and 4) it means the Window Unit temporarily stopped working and has switched to a low power mode because the environment is too warm.
Do This: Step 1: Check to see if the vents on the Window Unit are blocked or covered Step 2: Move the Window Unit to a cooler location Step 3: Please wait and the Window Unit will start operating again when the environment cools Step 4: Reset the coverage unit by unplugging the power, waiting a few seconds and then plugging it back in. |
E5: Error 5 |
When the Coverage Unit shows Error Message Five (alternating E and 5) it means that the Cel-Fi system cannot find the network that it was programmed to operate on. Your Cel-Fi system will only operate in the home network of the carrier who issued the device and cannot be moved from one city to another. Do This: return the Cel-Fi system to the city or market area in which it was originally distributed for use. |

Too Close |
Too close, you may also see a solid zero on your Coverage Unit. Your Coverage Unit is “Too Close” to your Window Unit.
Try this…moving the units further apart, starting with the Coverage Unit. |
Too Far |
Too far, you may also see a rotating/cycling zero with red arrows on your Coverage Unit. Your Coverage Unit is “Too Far” from your Window Unit. Try moving the units slightly (5-10 feet) closer together, starting with the Coverage Unit.
Intermittent “Too Far” message? Frequent or intermittent issues can be related to heavy WiFi saturation in your home/office. Make sure that each unit is as far as possible from any access points or other WiFi enabled devices. |
